The Saint Louis Art Museum, already a valued client and partner to Mercury, approached us to create a unique sponsorship opportunity that would complement an upcoming Museum exhibition – Navigating the West: George Caleb Bingham and the River. Together, we concepted a video series that gained the interest of Bank of America as the sponsor. Our video production team then set to work producing a series of modern-day stories of life along the river. We took the RED camera by air, land and sea to capture river landscapes, aerial cinematography and interviews of fascinating people whose lives are intertwined with the rivers, from musicians to canoe racers, artists, an architect, a professor and a barge captain. The result? Navigating the Rivers: A Collection of Modern-Day Stories, played throughout the exhibition, was screened in a special event with a live audience Q&A that we participated in, and was shared and enjoyed online. It is still the most viewed videos on the Art Museum’s channel. The sponsorship package met sponsor goals and generated sponsorship revenue for the Museum, earning us a success story presentation on stage at IEG Disrupt, the leading sponsor organization in the country.
